Presenter: Tracey Lord

Her role at CHS includes providing diabetic education on basic survival skills as well as advanced diabetes management in the inpatient and outpatient settings. She enjoys participating in health fairs to promote health and wellness. She feels that prevention is the key to staying healthy and living life to the fullest.

Bio: Tracey Lord is the Diabetes Nurse Educator/Coordinator at CHS. Her passion for diabetes began 33 years ago when she was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes as a freshman in nursing school. She obtained her BSN at Winona State University in Minnesota. After working as a staff nurse on medical, surgical and psych floors in hospitals for 9 years, she obtained her certification as a diabetes educator. Places that she has worked throughout her nursing career include Minnesota, Texas, Arizona, Nevada, and California. She enjoys teaching patients, families, and staff on how to manage diabetes.
