Dear Community Members:
The State Council on Developmental Disabilities is hiring (on a limited basis) Quality Assessment Project Interviewers. Interviewers speak to adults served by the Tri-Counties Regional Center and their circles of support. Interviewers should live in Ventura, Santa Barbara or San Luis Obispo counties.
Quality Assessment Project Interviewers use the National Core Indicators tool. After interviewing the person served and possibly a family member or care provider, the interviewer will input the information into an online database.
Quality Assessment Interviewers are independent contractors. Interviewers are not employed by the State of California, nor are they covered by Workers Compensation. Pay for each completed interview will be $53. There will be no reimbursement for no-shows. Additionally, as an independent contractor, interviewers are not paid or reimbursed for mileage, phone, postage, computer, or other related expenses.
Each interview will take approximately 2-3 hours, (including scheduling, driving, conducting the interview, and inputting interview data.) Most surveys are conducted in the evening or weekend and the expectation is that the interviewer would complete at least 5 interviews per month. There is a mandatory paid training for all hired interviewers.
The National Core Indicators Survey is used in many states to assess the satisfaction of services and supports that people with developmental disabilities receive from the regional center. It is completely voluntary on the part of the person served and their circle of support to participate in the survey. Hired interviewers will begin work on surveying adults served and their circles of support in immediately and the project is planned to end June 2015.
