from all ages, backgrounds and abilities through creative dance, music, drama and art.
Our Social Skills Groups offer an array of activities for all ages, preK through high school. Similar to the private sessions, your child will be matched up with a same-aged or slightly older peer who will serve as your child's "buddy" throughout the program.
Children are a gift from God and it is our honor and privilege to have your children in our program...We believe that with patience and positive reinforcement, all children can learn to swim at an early age.
We will begin the 2016 season of lessons in May. Sign-ups will begin April 1. Lessons will continue through October.
We generally start private lessons at age two to three. When your child is at least 6 years old and swimming independently, we offer two one week day camps at UCSB.
We do take children with special needs. Please be sure we are aware of any limitations your child may have. Our instructors can work more patiently and productively with your child when they know what the limitations are.
The YMCA has been America's leading swim instructor for more than 100 years. But our aquatics programs extend beyond instruction. We also provide recreational, competitive and specialty aquatics programs for all ages and abilities, including parent-child classes, water exercise and therapy, water safety and rescue, and water sports. Programs and classes vary by location.
Fall registration full, but keep an eye for the future sessions!
